  • We will never ask for your full password, PIN, or one-time passcode by phone, text, email, or social media.

  • Be cautious of urgent or threatening messages claiming your account will be closed or funds lost unless you act immediately.

  • Verify unexpected calls or messages by contacting the bank using the phone number on your card or official website.

  • Watch for phishing emails and texts that contain suspicious links, attachments, spelling errors, or unfamiliar sender addresses.

  • Scammers may impersonate credit union staff, government agencies, or trusted companies to gain your trust—always double-check.

  • Do not click links or scan QR codes from unknown or unsolicited messages.

  • Never send money or share account details in response to investment offers, prize notifications, or refund requests you didn’t initiate.

  • Be alert to romance and impersonation scams, especially requests for secrecy, money, or gift cards.

  • Regularly review your account activity and report any unfamiliar transactions immediately.

  • Keep your devices secure by using strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, and updating software regularly.

  • Protect your personal information—shred sensitive documents and avoid sharing details on social media.

  • Scammers frequently use social media and online marketplaces to pose as buyers, sellers, or customer support. Avoid moving conversations or payments outside trusted platforms.

  • Protect seniors, students, and vulnerable individuals by discussing common scam tactics and encouraging them to verify requests before acting.

  • Fraudsters may coach you on what to say if you speak to credit union staff, encouraging you to provide false information. This is a strong indicator of a scam.

  • Public Wi-Fi networks can expose your information. Avoid accessing your bank accounts or entering sensitive details when connected to unsecured or public network 

  • Be wary of unexpected refunds, overpayments, or reimbursement offers, especially if you are asked to return part of the money. These are common signs of check and payment reversal scams.
